Sadness: A Poem

Today

I put the pictures away

Stuffed

Into a box

My soul now

Void of her

Tucked away

I will no longer

Look at her

I cannot bear it

It is too severe

To know that her

Gleaming

Ocean eyes

Will never gaze

Into mine again

And her cherub lips

A smile will not possess...

I want her back

My heart angel

I want her back
